Blood Drive
Over the course of my treatment I have received many blood products including blood, plasma, and platelets. These all come graciously from donors. To help give back, we’re organizing “Cindy’s Badass Blood Drive”.

Help us reach our 30-donor goal by coming out to give blood. First timers are encouraged and welcome (and one of our great friends will support you if needed). There will be food, friends, and fun – a badass blood donor party! Whether it’s your first or fortieth blood donation, we hope to see you out supporting Cindy and the Canadian Blood Services.

If you can’t donate on March 23rd and still want to be a badass blood donor – we have you covered!
We have registered Cindy’s Badass Blood Drive as a partner program for the Canadian Blood Services. This means once you register at Cindy’s Partner Page all your donations in 2019 will count towards Cindy’s Badass Blood Drive, previous and future donations. This will work for any donation you make in Canada (except for Quebec). You only have to complete the online form once and your donor card number will be linked to Cindy’s Badass Blood Drive. If you are a first time donor, your new card will be linked as well so no worries.
Please note when you are completing the online registration form, click “YES” to the question “Is this registrant an employee or member of this Organization?”.

After Party
After your donation, join the other badass blood donors for some social time and a bite to eat at The Chill Bar and Grill in Waterloo.
Blood Related Facts
Some Important Blood Donation Eligibility Information
- Donors must be 17 years or older
- There is a weight and height requirement for 17 to 23 years old – see chart on link here: https://blood.ca/en/blood/can-i-donate
- Bring Identification card – (i.e. Driver’s license, new Health card or blood donor card if they are already a donor) – ID is a must
- No tattoos or body piercings in the last 3 months
- You have not been to the dentist in the last 72 hours
- If you have travelled outside of Canada please call 1-888-2-Donate to talk to a nurse. The whole list of country is also found here https://www.blood.ca/en/blood/travel

- EAT and DRINK water the day before the donation and most especially on the day of the donation date. Lots of water!
